I am waiting for a call-back to order your book.I have been battling Parkinson's
for 12 yrs. now. I have become tired and weary. I was praying for God to direct
me to people who can help me, and I believe that person to be you. I have to say
that the night that I found your site, I was so optomistic, that the next morning,
I got of bed and walked to the kitchen, before I had my Parkinson's (meds) cock-
tail for about 20-30 min. I usually sit and read for about 45 min. to an hr.before
they kick-in. I was very angry after being diagnosed. Why me? I had worked out
3 times a wk. for 10 yrs. (aerobics at the local YMCA). I ate very healthy, so much in fact, my doctor told me my cholesterol readings were so good, that my
risk of a heart attack was 0. My BMI was 15, I din't drink Alcohol and had never
smoked. So what was up? I later had a string of stressful events in my life: My
husband of 25 years was having an affair. I was becoming very depressed. He
moved out. I was scheduled to have a discectomy, lamenectomy, and spinal
fusion,Between disk 6&7 and 7&8, due to "Spinal stenosis." My husband moved
back home and took me in for the surgery. When I was released, he brought me
home and told me he was moving in with her and asked my then 17-yr, old daughter to take care of me. The next day, my daughter who was a Senior in
High School, informed me she was pregnant. My daughte miscarried, my
husband moved back in twice before he divorced me 3 yrs. later. My un-
married daughter got pregnant again a yr. later with twins. She gave birth,
and She, her boyfirend and the twin boys lived with me for 2 yrs. So, I think the
stress is what brought out the Parkinson's, because the tremor in my left-hand
started shortly after my neck surgery and oddly enough went away after a year o
two after being put on Mirapex, Then I began to have a worsening of blance, and ridigity and speech problems. I don't have much trust or confidence in
doctors, for they have told me they are "practicing medicine." I am eagerly wait-
ing for a copy of your book, so that I can get on "The road to Recovery."

Thanking you,
Theresa Carlson
